The short answer is that it depends on how much repetitive math you are doing. There are so many ways that Excel can reduce your work and give you more time for the things you actually enjoy doing. In my work of billing fertilizer I’ve reduce the time it takes to do the repetitive calculation to the time it takes to enter the base numbers in the spreadsheet and the answers into our billing system. The calculations are already in place.
Of course not every problem in life and work can be expressed mathematically – so not every thing can be automated but it is worth taking a look at the problems to see if they can be simplified.
